Absolutely love Cardinal, and the support of your staff. Always professional, informational, and helpful.
Got an idea that we’d like to run by you. Whenever a sidebar template is used, any and all page content is restricted by the width that the sidebar container occupies for the entire height of the page (See Cardinal SideBar.png attached).
We propose adding a new page template and secondary Admin Content Editor (see CardinalFullWidthAreaAboveFooterEditor.png attached) that would give designers the ability to place full-width assets between the page content and the footer, even when using a sidebar-enabled template (see CardinalSideBarFULLWIDTH.png attached).
Sure, there are a couple of other ways to achieve this, such as using SPB to define a “sidebar” in-page and adding widget assets, but this never really creates an accurate sidebar layout, especially when using graphics inside containers in the sidebar.
One could also add custom widget areas to a new page template, but then we don’t get the benefits of using Swift’s Page Builder.
Would love to see this in a release soon.
