I have a problem, the theme is making my blog way too slow when scrolling, (inside a blog post) especially in firefox browser. I did some profiling and found that the most “expensive” function is “$.inviewport” which exists in the “AnimOnScroll” class.
Could you please help me out figure a way to disable this?
I would like the scrolling to be smooth as normal.
Thank you
August 30, 2015 at 4:16 am #208678Hi there,
Where did you see that regarding AnimOnScroll? That class only runs for Masonry blogs, and I see you are using the standard blog? So it shouldn’t run. Are you seeing slow scrolling on our demo site?

August 31, 2015 at 7:40 pm #208941Hi, your demo runs smooth. Have you noticed the scroll lag on my blog under firefox browser?
As you said I use the standard blog not the masonry one.
Thanks
September 2, 2015 at 9:07 am #209531Hi,
I confirm I also get a lagging scroll only when using Firefox. Can you add a WP login so we can take a look at your plugin setup?
This is not something I can replicate on the demo: http://dante.swiftideas.com/blog-timeline-full-width/blog-timeline-right-sidebar/
Thanks,

Can you confirm it’s ok for me to disable your plugins to further test this?
Thanks,
David.September 3, 2015 at 12:05 pm #210116Hello, yes you can proceed, but I would like you to be sure that it works ok with every browser please.
I have seen this issue with chrome and opera as well. Only browser it works 100% fine is with safari.
So you will add this code right?
I don’t really know how to do it myself
Thank you 🙂
September 4, 2015 at 12:53 pm #210441Hi,
Your website scroll is know functioning normally in Firefox and Chrome, can you confirm this also?
Thanks,
David.September 4, 2015 at 1:26 pm #210454If this has been solved, please share the solution as I am having the same issue. It works great in Safari, OK in Chrome… but completely unusable in Firefox.
September 4, 2015 at 5:54 pm #210519Hi, unfortunately the problem is still there.
Scrolling lags a lot. Any other ideas?
Thank you
September 5, 2015 at 2:25 am #210557It’s always hard to be sure to what extent any configuration changes have when it comes to websites and the internet because of all the layers of caching, optimizing, etc. but scrolling, along with some other issues I’ve been having (such as my portfolio gallery not showing or only appearing sometimes) seems to have been resolved after turning off RocketLauncher in my CloudFlare configuration.
Some other notes, in the chance it might help:
1. All minification in CloudFlare is disabled (JavaScript, CSS, HTML)
2. I use the BWP Minify WordPress plugin but have had to make adjustments to get it to play nicely with Dante. See below.BWP Minify Settings for Dante:
1.contact-form-7
– (JS) Stay at original position – Fixes issue with portfolio UI
2.sf-responsive
– (CSS) Do not minify – Fixes iPad layout issue
3.sf-main
– (CSS) Do not minify – (Too long ago, I don’t remember, but added same time assf-responsive
)September 7, 2015 at 1:15 pm #210889Hello, I just made sure, I turned off Minify and Rocket Loader on Cloudflare, but the problem persists.
Any more ideas? Thank you
September 8, 2015 at 12:28 pm #211276Hi,
I cannot replicate this in Firefox.
1) What version of FF do you have?
2) What device are you using, Mac or PC?– David
September 8, 2015 at 4:52 pm #211395Hello FF version is 40.0.3 on a Mac.
Same thing happens on FF on Windows as well though.
September 9, 2015 at 5:14 pm #211782Hi,
This is very odd, none of us can replicate this so let’s start by:
1) Please deactivate all plugins, then clear your browser cache.
Thanks,
David. -
