1. No matter what I try and do, I cannot change the font color of the side-header. It kicks through in regular header but not in side. However, the background colour behaves just as the header.
2. I chose a row with no spacing. At first the images got hidden away behind the menu. Then after changing menu color, the images are suddenly on top of the menu-background color instead. What I REALLY wanted to achieve was full width page – BUT ONLY to the border of my menu, which there is no option for, and which I think must be a bug when using the side-panel-menu.
3. Even when I choose the NO BORDER/PADDING row settings, I get this grey space on top of the page. How do I get rid of that?
Thank you very much!
Peter
August 9, 2015 at 1:17 pm #202148PS, if you look at the blog-post THAT works and place it self in the center, which is kind of funny 🙂
August 10, 2015 at 2:45 pm #202427Hi,
1) Are you referring to the menu links? If so, please use this CSS:
nav .menu > li.menu-item > a, nav.std-menu .menu > li > a { color: #fff; } nav .menu > li.menu-item > a, nav.std-menu .menu > li > a { color: #ccc; }
2) Can you please try building that using the Swift Page Builder, not the visual composer?
3) Same as no.2.
– Let me know how you get on.
Thanks,

I tried and it’s changing in the side header.

August 10, 2015 at 8:44 pm #202525Hi.
To be honest I bought this because of the Visual Composer builder. I will be very not-happy to use a new pagebuilder as I use Visual Composer plug-ins etc. Also I find Visual Composer more user-friendly.
I have never had margin issues etc. before using Visual Composer.
I would be happy if you could try and make it work.
Thanks
Peter
August 11, 2015 at 10:48 am #202692Hi Peter,
Sure I will help you with Visual Composer also, could you supply a screenshot of exactly what you would like the page to look like? – I’ll see if I can create a new test page and replicate that.

Unfortunately it’s not possible for VC to work in full width mode with the side header. The way that VC works in full width mode is to get the width of the page via jQuery, and adjust the margins and width to suit that – it takes no consideration of the layout of the page.

Hi again.
I followed your advice and tried out with your pagebuilder. But now I get a funny top + the images dont align top 100%. There are like a wee gap in between.
What to do?
PS, can I use visual composer elements (plug-ins) with your pagebuilder also? Are they compatible?
Thanks
August 20, 2015 at 7:12 pm #205932PS, I am trying to achieve something like yours. But cant I really not set images like “tall”, 1/1 etc.? they all come up square.
Thanks

You can remove the top spacing from a page from within the page settings: Meta Options => Page Meta => Remove top spacing.
To create the tall masonry product layout like the demo, please edit a desired product and change the Meta Options => Masonry Thumbnail => Masonry Thumbnail Size => Tall.
Next you need to use the Page Builder to add the “Products” asset to your page. Within the page builder Product options select “Yes” for the options Multi-Masonry Display.
Thanks,
David.August 21, 2015 at 12:54 pm #206160Hi there. But is there no option to set the meta-data glbally? I mean like – for shop and template-pages I cannot do this on single pages??
Thanks
Peter
August 21, 2015 at 1:30 pm #206173Hi Peter,
That spacing is because the images aren’t the same size – so they are vertically aligned. Here is the page content for the homepage of the Union Demo, so you can add it to a page and add your own images / see how we did it. http://pastie.org/private/2dhxwiehsbokrdkgyhr0w
Not sure what you mean about the “meta-data” ?
