I am looking to add custom fields for every product (would like these to appear in the backend by default for all current and new products without a manual add). Would these fields then be able to be used for sorting/filtering purposes?

I would also then like these custom fields to appear within the Additional Information or Description Tab.

Hi,
Its not possible through any theme. You need to use premium plugin.
