I run into a issue that I’m not able to translate the taxonomy name of a custom post type cuz the strings are hardcoded into the code.

    What should I do?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey!

You can find the updated file attached.
Place the unzipped file in the folder neighborhood > includes > custom-post-types > and replace the current file with it.

Then you can rescan your translation files in order to translate the strings.

Thank you for the heads up and let me know if that worked!

    Hi Melanie,

Thanks for the update, but it didn’t work. And also I notice that all custom post types have the exactly same issue.

The strings have showed up in .po file, I’ve translated it but by some reason didn’t appear on admin.

    Thanks

Did you clear your cache? If you translated them they need to show up.

I will forward this to the developer to consider improving it in an official update for everybody.

Yeap I did clear the cache, and also I’ve tested it locally too to make sure.

I agree it’s weird, but all other strings are translating smoothly. Maybe it’s an issue with the register_taxonomy function?

Try the attached theme version, hopefully that fixes it!
