  hi guys, I know that I can add a link to a URL in the text that overlays my background image in my slide, but is there a way to add the link to the actual background image so if someone clicks on the image (or i dont want to add text) it will go to that URL?

  Hi,

  At the moment that’s not possible, you will need to use the content inside the slide to do it.

  I could suggest to the development team the idea of making the entire slide clickable but that could only work only with the background image an without any slide content.

  it seems odd that you cant click on the slide to be directed to a product or category. three commerce sites i follow all have that option – click anywhere on the background image in the slider and it transfers to that content, much like being able to add a link to any media in any wordpress page or post….

  so if i interpret your response correctly, you are saying i can add text in the slide content area and link that, but not in the slide background image area? okay.. will have to find a way to make it obvious to click on the text to follow a link to the products.

  i think this is something that should be suggested to the developers -if you could that would be great thanks.

  At the moment with swift Slider it’s not possible only if you use Revolution Slider that is also included with this theme.
