Hi… our new website development using Flexform was initially started without using the child theme. Realizing this was not a good path, we setup a new staging site with the child theme. We did a compare between the original flexform files and the developed files and found that 5 were different: style.css, functions.php, single.php, footer.php and shortcodes.php. So we tried bringing these 5 over into the child theme on the new staging site. But apparently we have done something incorrect as we are seeing that:
1. changes to style.css in the child folder are not caring through
2. problems with the functions.php file – Bringing copy from Flexform to Flexform child crashes staging site
3. some changes in the child Theme Options not coming through. For example in Header Options we entered [social size=’small’ style=’dark’ type=’linkedin,twitter,youtube’] and it did not show up, but if we switch back to Flexform and enter, it works. This may have something to do with the functions.php or shortcodes.php?
Appreciate any advice on how to correct the situation. Obviously our goal is not to lose any custom code.
