    Hello,

I just installed the Neighborhood theme and I am not getting any font awesome icons to appear. I do not know what is going on. Details below.

    Home URL: http://www.ocscsailingblog.com
    WC Version: 2.0.13
    WP Version: WP 3.6
    PHP Version: 5.3.13
    MySQL Version: 5.1.56

See attachments or visit website for examples. Please help.

    Thanks,
    Tony

I found the solution. It was an .htaccess rule.

Tony, I think I’m having the same problem you were having. The icons are showing up as squares. Could you be more specific how you fixed the problem? Thanks.

@gethermmx – can you provide a link to your site?

    Thanks,

Seems like you don’t have the fontawesome files on your server. Can you download them and upload them to the fonts folder in neighborhood > css > font

I just checked and I have the following fonts in that css folder:

    fontawesome-webfont.eot
    fontawesome-webfont.svg
    fontawesome-webfont.ttf
    fontawesome-webfont.woff
    Fontawesome.otf

The permissions for the css folder and the fonts are all 755. Is there something I’m missing?

That’s odd, can you try permission 775 or 777 and let us know if that changes anything?

Melanie, I don’t think giving anyone write permissions will help. Tony said that his problem was with an .htaccess rule. Do you know what that might be?

I don’t know who Tony is and I don’t know what he is referring to – can you ask that person again? 🙂

Tony is the original poster on this topic. I don’t know him and was hoping he would respond to this thread but hasn’t. Can you please offer some solution to this? Are there common problems with the icons?

Receiving a reply with no answer every 2 days is not working for me. Please help me fix this, Melanie.
