    Hi, I noticed that Neighborhood loads rather slowly. Can you please share what are some of the plugins you used to optimize your demo site? I’m getting a 42/100 on Pagespeed which is the lowest I’ve seen compared to other themes I’ve purchased. As recommended, I’m using Better WordPress Minify but if the plugin is enabled, it messes up the layout pretty badly.

    Please advise.

    I use “WP Smush.It” plugin ,it service to optimize your images and reduce their sizes. it might help a little.

    Good luck

    Great news!!
    After a night of research and making a number of changes on htaccess, I was able to bring the rating up to 94% on pagespeed and 82% on YSlow. For those who are interested, please find a copy of htaccess attached.

    However minification remains an issue. Can anyone assist with BWP?

    Please proceed with caution if you use the htaccess file. it may cause issues with your server. always consult your provider first.

    It could be this error:
    http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/24994

    this is an error of the WordPress core files which hopefully will be fixed soon by the WP developers.

    In the meantime we can fix it manually by opening the file /wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js and deleting the line
    //@ sourceMappingURL=jquery-1.10.2.min.map
    completely.

    Cheers!

    You just need to open that file via FTP and delete the line I pointed out 🙂 It’s at the very beginning of the file 🙂

    Cheers!

    You can find the name of the file in the comment I wrote just a few lines above yours.

    Before asking further questions — did you already modify the file?
