Hello again,
We are upgrading our site from your Cardinal theme to Atelier, and notice that there is no longer a “Product Description Tabs Mode” option on the WooCommerce Options > Product Options page.
Without this option, our “Product Description” content now displays under the product image and short description area. With Cardinal, by contrast, we were able to use the WooCommerce Custom Product Tabs plug-in, which allowed the “Product Description” content to appear as a tab under the “Product Short Description” content, which, in our case, seemed like a more logical placement.
Is there any way to carry over this functionality to Atelier?
Thank you, again, for your time.

Does the plugin not work with the current setup in Atelier?

May 27, 2015 at 12:46 pm #178831Hi Kyle,
Yes — the plug-in does output the custom tabs, but they are also located under the product image / short description area, along with the main product description content.
With Cardinal, which had the “Product Description Tabs Mode” option, it was possible to place these content areas, in tab form, directly under the short description area, as seen on this Cardinal demo page.
Again, for our purposes, this layout make much more sense, and we were wondering if it is possible to recreate this layout in Atelier?

May 27, 2015 at 12:57 pm #178834Not currently, but I’ve informed the developer of your feedback and this option is coming in version 1.3 which we are releasing today/tomorrow

May 29, 2015 at 4:47 am #179377Hi,
Just a quick follow-up on this issue after the 1.3 update. I may have missed it, but it seems that the placement of the “Product Description” content is still fixed under the image and short description areas, in its own “product-after-summary” div element.
Is it possible to re-create the placement of the Product Description and all other tabs, directly under the short description area, in an accordion style layout, as seen on this Cardinal demo page?
Our previous site, which used Cardinal, relied on this particular layout extensively, and we would very much like to duplicate it in Atelier.

May 29, 2015 at 7:25 am #179433Ahh I see what you mean, not sure if this is possible as we’ve completely changed the style and layout of the tab area, I will inform the developer but it’s unlikely that we will change this to the old position as it will affect everyone’s site using Atelier. And unfortunately it would require a lot of work and extra code to make an option for it

May 29, 2015 at 9:26 am #179475Hi Kyle,
Understood. I had thought that a function similar to Cardinal’s “Product Description Tabs Mode” option would allow for an easy switch between the two layouts.
In any case, thank you very much for checking on whether this is possible. I suspect this option may be useful to others who are upgrading from your other themes, as placing all product description information directly under the short description and buy button is a huge usability improvement over the default position, which separates all this related information across the page, and takes the user away from that critical buy button, although I know opinions on this will probably vary.

May 29, 2015 at 9:27 am #179477No problem, I’ve passed the request on to the developer for him to consider

May 30, 2015 at 9:03 pm #179934……Hi Kyle
Firstly, ..thank the whole team for the great new Theme. Great peace of work, “thanks”I have the same request for the developers as the above post however I’m Upgrading from Dante which offers both options.
..we also feels the product Description and overview are less visible below the product as one has to scroll down to read them.
Cheers B
June 1, 2015 at 11:00 am #180211Hi,
Can you check in the new update we sent couple days ago, we have a new setting called “Product Page Builder content position”.
Go to Theme options-> Woocommerce options-> Product options
Hope it helps.

June 1, 2015 at 4:26 pm #180336Hi Rui,
I may be misunderstanding, but that option doesn’t seem to allow for a layout where the main product description, additional information, and review tabs are moved under the Short Description / Add to Cart button, and are displayed in an accordion format.
I have attached a screen-grab of the layout from your Cardinal demo, which shows the ideal layout, highlighted in red, which we would like to duplicate in Atelier.
Thanks,
