  Hello,

  I want to create a checkerboard pattern with photos.

  With spb, I alternated a photo and an empty box.

  It’s good but how to remove the space between rows?

  Or other solution 😉

  Yes you can go to Theme Options > Thumbnail Options to change the image hover type 🙂

  You can only use an excerpt for the portfolio items, not the single image asset

  Yes you can add a secondary caption for portfolio items, not for image assets.

  If you change to a portfolio however, you will not be able to have the whitespace blocks

  You can change this in the colour customiser or on individual items in the portfolio meta
