    My supervisor has asked me to clean up some of our permalinks and URLs on our website. He is also curious if we can use an anchor point on a page as the permalink.

    For example:
    We have a page’s URL that looks like this right now:

    Additional Modules & Services

    He is wondering if there is a way to make it look like this:

    Homepage

    He wants to have a URL that takes you straight to the anchor point on the page but have the URL look shorter and more direct, because we will be putting these links on brochures and marketing materials and he doesn’t want the URL to look long or stand out.

    Not sure what’s generating that sort of permalink, are you using some sort of plugin for that page?

    No we’re not using a plugin, I’ve been doing my permalinks through wordpress. I’m not complaining about how the permalink looks because that first link is our current URL. The page is addons and population health is the anchor point of the one page navigation on that page.

    My question is: Is there a way to not show the page part of the URL and just have the anchor point, on that page, come after tsihealthcare.com. Does that make sense?
    Basically on this URL:

    Additional Modules & Services


    I wanna get rid of the addons part (which is the page) and just have the population health anchor point show.

    I’m afraid not, if the page url is http://tsihealthcare.com/addons then that has to be in the url of the anchors

    Hi,

    That’s not possible. The only workaround that I see is to create a specific page with your desired url http://tsihealthcare.com/population-health that has a default content with button that will redirect the user to the http://tsihealthcare.com/addons/#Population%20Health page.
