Hi, I’ve just updated Cardinal from version 2.02 to 2.05. Since the update the ‘Toggle’ elements no longer function. Additionally, when I open a blog post the sub-menu items on the main nav menu wont display, when I return to the root blog page the sub-menu items are shown correctly.

Note: All browser and server caches have been cleared.

I’d appreciate any assistance with this ASAP as the site is live.

    Thanks,
    Mark.

    Hi,

You have an error in your javascript console.

Can you disable that cache mechanism that is on wp-content/cache/autooptimize?

Hi, I tried disabling pretty much everything and clearing all caches prior to reporting this problem. I have now disabled the autoptimise plugin as requested (though this is not the cause of the problem), the error is now to be with the functions.js file.

In order to remove the possibility of any caching interfering with your diagnostics I’ve disabled all caching and minification mechanisms.

It is important to note that prior to the 2.05 update it all worked fine, no other changes were made at this time, after any update of any plugin, theme, or other, I always check the functionality of the entire site, it was during these checks that I noticed the ‘Toggle’ element not working.

    Thanks,
    Mark.

Updated to the version that you linked, hasn’t fixed the problem.

This is of no surprise as the only change made to the function.js file relates to the ‘//Wishlist Reload’ function.

it seems that your active is the one in the directory cardinal_old .
Can you ensure that the active theme is the one I provided in the .zip ?

    Thanks.

Yeah, I changed it back whilst I checked the changes that had been made, this site is live after all.
I have now changed it back to the one provided.

I owe you guys an apology….the fix has indeed worked, I had not cleared my browser cache! I’m guessing perhaps when you tested you hadn’t either, anyway its all working now so please pass on my apology to the devs.

    Many thanks,

    Mark.

No problem with that, it could happen to both sides.

I tested in Incognito mode so no cache from my side, your site was serving cached files.

    Glad it’s sorted.
