Hi, thanks for all your continued hard work on the Cardinal theme, it rocks!!!

    1) I tried updating to the last new release of the Cardinal Theme, but went back to version 2.02 which is running currently on the main site http://allresortlv.wpengine.com/, but I copied the latest build over to staging to test a few additional updates including upgrading to the latest 2.0.5 version of Cardinal and it seems that I am still having an element spacing issue – http://allresortlv.staging.wpengine.com/ – can you let me know if this is an issue with the new theme build? I checked my settings on the modules and they are all the same i.e. element spacing removed so the spacing should be the same on both versions. Thx!

    2) My other question is my client is interested in having images of their events with a hover similar to this site – that displays button call to actions on the hover state, is this possible with any of the default elements on Cardinal i.e. the photo block? How could I go about setting up something similar to this on Cardinal? – http://www.insomniac.com/events/?field_venue_region_nid_selective=3316

    Thanks again for your assistance!

    Todd

    Hi,

    Regarding your questions:

    1) can you provide an example with a screenshot. Thanks

2)Give it a try with the Image Banner asset. Place the code in classic editor and then switch the Swift Page Builder.

    [sf_imagebanner image="http://dante.swiftideas.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Dante_demo_image_banner_light.jpg" animation="helix" contentpos="center" textalign="center" extraclass=""]

    Image banner in action.

    [sf_button colour="white" type="standard" size="standard" link="http://" target="_self" icon="" dropshadow="yes" extraclass=""]EXAMPLE BUTTON 1[/sf_button]

    [/sf_imagebanner]

Hi Rui, I appreciate the quick response on this. If you scroll down the homepage of both sites you can see the difference in spacing on the elements, I’ve attached a few screenshots to highlight the differences.

As for the answer to my 2nd question, thanks! I will give this a try and let you know how it goes.

    Hi,

Guess in the other site you some information on the extra class fields. In the example of the Image with the button “Get on the list” it shoud be added the class pb0 to the element.

If you provide me admin access to this site I can check it.

I think the developer has set new default values for page builder asset settings, so maybe he set a default value to 30px padding for rows and this is being added to your rows when you update the theme. I will forward this to the developer for you as I imagine this shouldn’t be happening

    Hi Todd,

Can’t think of anything in the theme that would cause this to be set to 30px by default – the only parameter which has 30px as default is the vertical margin.

I’ve tested here and can’t replicate. We’ve also updated our demo site to 2.05 and had no issues at all like this.
