  When I enable Footer Widget, the whole footer section gets deleted and I can’t see.
  What is wrong?

  I have to disable the footer widget to see the footer itself.

  I had in footer options Single Column layout.
  In Widgets under the Footer Column 1 a text with link.

  Whenever I enabled it, the whole footer would vanish.
  After disabling and now trying it again, the footer itself is there but nothing would show up on Footer Widget.

  Fixed it, seemed like the text itself was interfering with footer widget (basically coding error)
