Hi! I am having an issue uploading videos. When I try to upload a video to media, I see a progress bar and then finally, “crunching”, then nothing (as shown in the attached screen shot). I have tried several things but cannot get videos to upload. I’ve searched and tried suggestions from others and nothing works. Can you help?

    Thank you!

    Hi lesliemcdaniel,

As far as I know, videos can’t be uploaded to Media but they can go directly into a post or page via a few different methods.

Get the embed code and paste it into the text editor of a text box or content box; or use the video page builder element and enter the link as prompted.

    Hope it helps.

Hi Red. Thanks for your response. I want to upload and have them hosted by my website, not on another website such as YouTube or Vimeo (which would allow me to use an embed code). There is an option to upload video in media, it’s just not working. I was able to get one video uploaded to Media, but now it’s not working anymore.

Is there another method to get the videos uploaded to my website?

    Thank you!

Hi. Is there anyone else who can help me with this issue? The theme is basically not worth anything to me if I can’t get this video issue resolved.

    Thank you for your help,
    Leslie

    Hi Leslie,

Think this may be due to WordPress and your server not being able to process that video.

What is the size of the video that you managed to upload and what is the size of the one that failed?

What Red was suggesting above is something along the lines of “upload your video via FTP instead, then simply use the URL where you need to insert it”. This way, you would bypass the WP uploader that may be hanging on large video files.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,
