    Hi,
Just bought Cardinal today and installed it on my website which is hosted on WPengine.
When I try to access theme options it gives me 502 Bad Gateway error.
Been talking to hosting support and they said it has to something with an script taking more than 60 seconds to run, and it’s being killed by their server to prevent overload etc.

I believe there should be many users with Cardinal on WPengine right? as I remember you even suggested their hosting for performance.

Please let me know what could be cause of this.
I can set up an staging version of the site and give you access to check everything if needed.

    Cheers,
    Sia

    Thanks Mohammad,
I’ll ask WPengine to increase the limits.
Where was this settings table available BTW? I didn’t notice it in theme docs.

    Cheers,
    Sia

But it still give me 502 Bad gateway error. Am I doing something wrong here?

    Cheers,
    Sia

    Hi,
Please provide me website url so i can check. Anyway, your hosting provider can easily fix this issue because 502 Error is not related with theme.
    Thanks
    Mohammad

    Hi,
I believe you’ve gone to Dante theme options, I was trying to switch themes and test to find a solution last night and I forgot to re-activate Cardinal at the end.
Can you please check now? Cardinal is now activated and the problem exist.

    Cheers,
    Sia

    Hi,

The problem is in one of your plugins. When I deactivated all plugins I could access the theme options.

I was trying to figure out what was the plugin is causing and now I can’t access the plugin options.

Will need ftp access to fix this. Apologize for any inconvenient.

OMG! That’s the very most important plugin for my business after woocommerce!
Any idea what would be causing the conflict? So I can either ask it’s developer or hire someone to fix the code…

Even if you can give me a rough idea of the type of problem would be good, so at least I have some place to start looking for a fix…

    Cheers,
    Sia

    Hi,

First try to look at the logs in your server to see if we find some clue to that conflict. Let us know what you find.

In the meantime you can turn it off only to adjust the theme settings and then turn it on.

    Sure, will do.
The temporary solution you suggested also sounds great, thanks.

    Sia
