    I had raised this in a previous thread and although Mohammed couldn’t solve it and passed it onto Kyle, Kyle ‘resolved’ the thread without actually addressing the simple matter of vertically centring headers across devices. Kyle, if you are reading this, could you actually give me an answer because the fancy header is actually unusable as it stands.

    Yes that is definitely much better, thanks. Even thoug the syntax Mohammed provided gave a danger warning symbol it seems to have worked. I guess I just have to accept it takes a CSS force to make the header appear correctly but even so, you should be aware that on iPad it is far too low. Better than being too high, but zi am just really disappointed this kind of inconsistency is cropping up a lot, for what is otherwise a really superb and flexible theme.

    Anyway, I suppose this is as resolved as it can be… Can you at least acknowledge what I mean and recognise the problem so I don’t feel unreasonable here?

    Thanks 🙂

    Put Mohammads css in a media query:

    @media only screen and (max-width: 1024px) {
      CSS HERE
    }

    That should fix it for iPad

    Ah, but iPad doesn’t seem to need the tweak – laptops do…

    I really do appreciate your help and patience; I hope you understand why it is testing mine…

    While you are at it, could you please look at my Testimonials thread? That is bertically HORRIBLE as it stands, yet I am not adding any spacing at all…

    Ta!

    Now you’ve confused me, that screenshot.. is it with or without Mohammad’s code?

    I believe somebody else is dealing with your testimonial issue, I can;t do them all haha

    OK his code is already there and that is why the header looks fairly correct on a laptop. Without this CSS sticking plaster sllution it is WAY too high up and almost crowds the menu navigation. Ya get me?

    It’s very dismal having to remember all these fixes whenever I want to make a new site for someone…

    The fancy header text is vertically centred between the container it is in, which is full to the top of the window. The container goes behind the header.

    What you’re expecting it to do it be centred between the bottom of the navigation and the bottom of the fancy header container, but I’m afraid it doesn’t work like that.

    Most people have a higher fancy header than yours, see this for example: http://kylecraven.co.uk/services/
