  hi, do you have some documentation that shows how to use the directory feature?

  I basically want the layout to look like yours on here http://cardinal.swiftideas.com/directory-demo/ but the only two ways I can find to use the directory result in this http://www.prosecco.club/?post_type=directory (i don’t want the right column and i do want the map at the top but there seems to be no way to control this on the default index page) and this http://www.prosecco.club/producers-directory/ (here i have created a page and added the element from swift builder which is not showing the excerpt but is instead showing the unformatted content that should be on the click through page)

  That page seems right to me, the only thing is you need to add an excerpt to the directory post meta

  Hi, That’s my point, I have added an excerpt you can see that on this page http://www.prosecco.club/?post_type=directory but it is not working on this page http://www.prosecco.club/producers-directory/. On the second page it does not show the excerpt it just showers the full information which I don’t want until you click in to it.

  One other question re the directory, I will be adding around 200 in total will it paginate it and if so how to I control how many posts per page?

  Just check and the directory doesn’t support the single post page. So it will show the full content on the listings page

  also if you look at the code on this page http://www.prosecco.club/producers-directory/ you can see that there should be something within <div class=”item-meta”><span>|</span></div>

  Also, why is none of this text formated? I presume because it should just be the excerpt?

  sorry forget that last bit. why can i not apply formatting at all? it’s all just a text block even though there is an editor there? no <p>

  also what happens re pagination as i have 180 to add?

  it seems crazy that the except and link to another page does not work.

  What you mean exactly with the link to another full page? A detail page for the directory item?

  Regarding the formatting you want to have the possibility to have an excerpt of the description instead of the entire description in the listing results?

  yes i would like a detail page but this doesn’t work when i use the swift editor, it just puts all of the content on the list page.

  also, it does not format the text correctly it does not use <p> tags for example.

  you can see here http://www.prosecco.club/producers-directory/ it has not used the excerpt just all of the main text but without paragraphs.

  this is strange because the default page here http://www.prosecco.club/?post_type=directory does do it with the exerpt but i can’t control this page with a map etc

  hi, i would appreciate that as this directory feature is the reason why i bought this template. i have around 180 items to add and so it would be nice to have them formatted correctly and to have their own page. if you could let me know asap that would be great. if it can’t be done i will have to add them all as standard pages and then just use the directory feature to link to the standard page but that would be a shame as the directory feature should really be able to do this.

  please let me know either way what development say. if this is something that they can do in the next update i will wait. if it can’t be done, or will not be done, i will go ahead using standard pages.
