    Hey,

    It sounds like you’re talking about the actual WP header bar, sadly this is wordpress and not the theme within wordpress, it’ll be more than a pain to add extra links into it.

    It won’t be within the rules of my support contract so if it really bugs you I suggest you hire a freelancer

    Thanks
    Ben

    No, not that bar. The one that is in the theme. The one that I can toggle on and off in the flexform theme settings. I want to change the wording “WordPress Admin” to “My Account”

    You need to have WordPress installed in the language you need.

    I would also like an answer to this question. I don’t think Cosmin’s response addresses it, unless I am confused. I need to customize the account dropdown menu – modify the wording, and add a new link. It’s a component of the theme.

    I found the relevant code in header.php, search for “WordPress Admin” locate it.

    Sorry for the confusion, thought it was about the links added by WordPress. It’s easier to change them in header.php, but safer to translate the theme – see our knowledgebase.

    Can you give step by step instructions? I’m worried I am going to mess up the coding.

    Also, I checked in your knowledgebase and there isn’t anything listed in it.

    I’m not looking to translate the theme. I am looking to remove the “WordPress-admin” drop down.

    Please see creativeninja JULY 23, 2013 AT 10:26 PM #12676 comment above.

    All the comments in here are about changing the text in the dropdown, please be more specific to avoid future confusions 🙂

    Try this css to remove it:

    #header-login {
    display: none;
    }

    Cheers!

    That didn’t do what it either. Sorry for not being very descriptive, let me try it again…

    When someone is logged in, the dropdown menu under “Account” shows two options, WordPress Admin and Logout. I would like the login drop down to say “My Account” and “Logout”. Effectively changing “WordPress Admin” to “My Account”. I attached a picture from my site.

    Above Harelin said the he/she was able to change it in the header.php. I found the area he/she was talking about but I am unsure which line/lines to edit.

    Can you help?

    And I would like to remove the “WordPress Admin” link all together so logout is the only item that drops down.

    How can I do that?

    Cheers

    If you’re in the file header.php, search for the words “wordpress admin” and change them, that’s all there is to it 🙂

    ASBG you can also look for the line in header.php and simply remove it 🙂
