    Hi,

Is it possible to use the featured image as the post thumbnail option in your Flexform theme? I checked your support page and already noticed it is possible in your Dante theme (http://www.swiftideas.com/forums/topic/use-featured-images-as-thumbnails/). I already tested it, but it does not seem to work with Flexform.

    Hi

It should work fine as long as you don’t have the thumbnail options set to something else

Thanks for your reply, however the featured image does not show as thumbnail in the news masonry view.

These are my post meta settings when I create a new post:

Next I choose a featured image and save the post. Do I have to change some settings somewhere?

You’ve got your thumbnail set to ‘none’? That’s why there’s no thumbnail. You need to set it to image

Thanks, it is working now. Shame on me ๐Ÿ™‚

Is there a way to set ‘Image’ as the standard input for that field?

Image should already be the default for that

Unfortunately it is not in our case. None is the default value, would be great if I could somehow change the default to Image so we don’t have to bother this setting when creating new posts..

You would have to edit meta-boxes.php, it’s best to just change it for each of your posts

Thanks, I changed the meta-boxes.php file. For posts the default is ‘none’, changed it to ‘image’. It works fine now.

    Great support!
