  MEGA MENU HELP
  I’m sure this is simple, but I have done all the digging I can and I’m not able to figure out how/where I can set up the mega menu.
  -I created a sample menu and added pages in the menu structure to appear as my main menu.
  -I moved pages to fall under the main menu items
  – in the main menu item (in the drop down) I clicked on “Natural Width Mega Menu”
  – I checked the theme options and mega menu option is not disabled
  I would share a link, but my site is in maintenance mode.

  HIERARCHY ADVICE
  I have 100+ content pages on my site and they fall into 5 unique interest areas. Is it best to create and indentify a parent for each page? There are a handful of pages which may fall under more than one interest area.

  In addition, there is an “order” field on the individual pages – what is this for?

  1) I’d have to check the setup of your menu to see what you have missed, please provide a link and login via private reply

  2) It’s entirely up to you, sounds like adding a parent page would be a good idea.

  The sorting isn’t really used anymore, it’s just standard WordPress. I think it’s for when you auto assign pages to the menu

  #2: does the parent page hierarchy effect the navigation or how it appears on the website?

  Hi

  You haven’t set up the menu correctly, you need to add 2nd level menu items which split the menu up in to columns, you should use custom links for this and just use # for the link. To explain:

  Top level menu items = the menu items in the nav bar
  Second level menu items = the columns
  Third level menu items = the items within each column

  Thank you for your response. If I understood your direction correctly, I set it up as you did above, but the first item in the column is bigger and bolder. I would like the columns to look like the sample site columns at http://dante.swiftideas.net. Can you please advice on how to do this?

  You need to tick the box to ‘hide mega menu headings’

  Thank you again. I am getting close and new to wordpress so appreciate your patience. When I shut off hide mega menu headings, then the first page in the column disappears. Would you suggest I add a blank page as the column header page or is there another way you would handle this?

  The first page should just be a custom link, which is the heading for the column. It shouldn’t be a page

  I see you said that earlier. Are you referring to the list on the left of the menu called “links”? When I try to add a link via this route, it’s asking me for a url. I don’t understand what to do with this.

  Can you please provide a little more information or direct me to a tutorial where this is explained?
