    I am having problems with the google map feature. I type in an address and it takes me to a whole different country.

    I am having the same problem and still haven’t heard back from Swift Ideas.

    Ed – can you please get back to me. You said you would get back to me tomorrow over a week ago and I’ve still not heard anything from you despite email you again.

    Hi guys,

    The latest update should have fixed this, provided that your server allows for URL file access (otherwise it won’t work).

    Our server does allow for URL file access. And I have the most recent update involved. Still not working. Here’s another example. It just gets cut off.

    I’ve already said at least twice that my server allows URL file access but it’s still not working (we seem to be going around in circles here).

    The map seems to work in the beginning of the days and then defaults back to some unknown location later in the day (The Aventine at Oakhurst North).

    Ed asked for my login details and said he would take a look – that was over a week ago and still nothing has happened.

    Who is going to take a look please?

    @tripthreat2409 – What version of the theme do you have?


    @flintops     – Where did you provide login details? I don’t remember receiving an email from you detailing these? Email me at [email protected] and I’ll look out for your email. I’ve got a feeling your API limit might be getting hit if you’re still not seeing the map.

    We have 1.4.3

    Also, we found that this problem only occurs with Maps inside of accordian or other “click to see” asset.

    Hi Ed,

    The map issue seems to have resolved itself over the last few days even though I haven’t changed anything, so touch wood, we can put it behind us.

    Regarding API limits, I think you could be right but the site doesn’t receive a lot of traffic at the moment so it’s a little baffling.

    If there are any further issues, I will email you the login details so you can take a look.

    Mine isn’t working either. It worked before and we haven’t changed anything soooo….

    I’ve updated the theme version to 1.4.2

    Hi Paul,

    Glad it’s working now. It may be just to your server rather than your individual site. I’m not sure how Google judges it.


    @floejoe     – Can you check you have URL File Access enabled on the server? You will need to update to v1.4.3 through Appearance > Themes, or Dashboard > Updates.

    Ed,

    Any idea on my problem? The map works fine unless it’s in an accordion or some other asset. But I need the maps all to be in an accordion.

    @floejoe – can you confirm in Appearance > Themes that you have 1.4.3?


    @tripthreat2409     – is this in a newly created accordion asset? Very odd. In this instance I’d probably suggest using the standard google maps embed for ease and speed..

    I downloaded the most recent file from Themeforest which is 1.4.2. Do you have a download link?
