Hi, I sent out this message to the LayerSlider plugin developers:
Hi,
I just found a 403 error type on my Google Webmaster tools profile pointing to the URL:
http://beisbolsantboi.com/wp-content/plugins/LayerSlider/static/skins/
It’s referred from the homepage: http://beisbolsantboi.com/
I see that there’re a lot of sites with this directory as public:
https://www.google.es/#q=inurl%3Awp-content%2Fplugins%2FLayerSlider%2Fstatic%2Fskins%2F
That could seem a silly thing, but in this kind of “Apache listing pages” you normally can see the server OS, apache version and other details which exposes you.
It would be nice to do not link to that directory (you’ll avoid the Google Webmasters Tools error) or, since I think this is necessary, explain in the FAQ or somewhere to modify the directory permissions or how to configure it.
Is it correct to leave it as I have it configured right now?
Thanks!
They replied:
Hello,
This issue has been already fixed, please update your plugin.
I’ve responded with:
Hi,
How I can update the plugin?
I’ve purchased the Dante theme and the plugin comes with it.
And they just replied:
Hello,
In case you received the plugin with a theme you have to contact the theme author about the updates as you can only receive new versions together with the theme.
So, is it possible to update the plugin?
Thanks!
