    My blog is slow http://villamadelief.nl/blog/ I cannot find the cause. There are no specific plugins active, I only use following settings:

    Show blog aux options: No
    Blog type: Masonry
    Number of items: 20
    Blog category: all
    Show title text: yes
    Show item excerpt: yes
    Show item details: yes
    excerpt lenght: 23
    Show read more link :yes
    Pqagination: no

    Can you provide a solution?

    As you can see it’s about 3.6 seconds before the content even starts to load. You might want to change hosts, or ask your current host to improve the speed of your server, but you’d likely have to pay more

    It’s our own dedicacted server, this really cannot be the problem!!
    We have a lot of wordpress sites on this server, all fast.

    Just look at the pingdom results..? The first bit is waiting for the host, which is nothing to do with the theme.

    It’s strange because every other page loads within 2-3 seconds.

    Have you tried using WP Total Cache? And Better WordPress minify? See: http://support.swiftideas.net/knowledgebase/better-wordpress-minify/

    Ok well there’s not much else you can do to improve the speed, it comes down to a mixture of plugins, images and speed of the server
