    Hi there,

I’m having a couple problems with my site and also have a couple questions.

    Problems:

    1) The LinkedIn link doesn’t seem to work in the social short code. If you look at the footer of my page and click on the LinkedIn icon, it takes me to an internal 404 page, rather than to the link I put in the options panel. In the options panel, here’s what’s filled in for LinkedIn: “http://linkedin.com/in/neilswaab”. All my other social profiles work. Am I doing something wrong? Any suggestions?

    2) Blog categories don’t display on my individual blog posts. If you look at http://neilswaab.com/hit-count-algonquin-books/ for example, the categories are empty. However, the tags are filled in.

    Questions:

    1. I’m having an issue with the Related Projects aspect of the portfolio. For some reason, mine only seems to cycle through the same 4 or 5 pieces. Which is kind of drag because once you’ve viewed them, you’re sick of seeing them and don’t get the option or variety to see other work which makes it kind of redundant. Is there any way to randomize the Related Projects more? Or something so they show more variety rather than just sticking to the same 4 or 5 pieces?

    2. Is there any way to make the portfolio archives masonry so that they match the rest of the style of my portfolio? Additionally, it would be great to have the option to have the archives have a title. For instance, if I’m in the Design archives, have it say Design?

    Thanks,

    Neil

Sorry, a few other issues have popped up. This time having to do with mobile.

    Issues (continued…):

    3) I’m having problems with my mobile. I’m on Android Samsung S3. In the native internet browser, the site is almost unusable. There’s a crazy lag to all of the images as you scroll through it. The whole screen will just go completely white in small flashes. Very off-putting. I don’t have this problem using Chrome on my phone, though. Things go much smoother.

    4) A lot of problems with my mobile menu. On my Samsung it opens fine. However, when I close it (by clicking on the X) it closes then opens back up again really quickly then closes again. Like it closes twice. Sometimes it closes and then just opens back up again without closing. This is in both the native internet app and Chrome.

    5) Another mobile menu problem: If I scroll halfway down the page in the native internet app and then open the menu, it ends up cutting off the closing X icon so there’s no way to close it. See attached image for an example.

    6) Some of my titles go completely over the page-to-page navigation if they’re on the long side. Is there any way to fix? (See attached screen shot)

    7) In general, the mobile is feeling tremendously sluggish and has issues. I takes forever to load a page. And sometimes even though the loading bar is finished, it won’t jump to the next screen. It hangs there for a long time before making the transition. Which is misleading because it’s fooling me into thinking it’s not working or nothing’s happening. Maybe this is due to the page transitions? Maybe they should be disabled in mobile? I don’t know. But my experience with the mobile version is not very good. Just feels slow and buggy.

Any help you can provide would be much appreciated.

    Hi

Please open separate threads for each topic, for e.g. the mobile menu ones can be posted in one thread as they relate to each other, but for the others please open separate threads as they do not relate to one thing.

This allows us to answer your questions much quicker and prevents the thread from becoming 3 pages long, which can become confusing for support staff taking over as they have to read through pages of comments to find out what’s going on.

    Hope you understand

    Thanks

    – Kyle
