Is it possible to set apart 1/4 of the page for sidebar/menu, and 3/4 for product display?

And how do you set this up: http://cardinal.swiftideas.com/shop-demo-three/shop/ ? Would it be possible to achieve the same without using a full width setup? And by the same I am talking about the Size/Color selector and price filter not taking up the whole column.

I can see this kind of breaks up on an iPad: http://cardinal.swiftideas.com/shop-demo-three/shop/

Not sure if it is because the design breaks up, or if “Call: 0800 123 4567 etc” being placed over the sidebar ruins things. Have a look in both landscape and portrait mode on iPad.

So, maybe my first question was the best: Is it possible to set apart 1/4 of the page for sidebar/menu, and 3/4 for product display?

    Hi

Go to Theme Options > WooCommerce Options > Shop Options and set ‘full width product display’ to no, then lower down set your sidebar

    Thanks.

Will there be any fix for the grid on iPad? I guess it is not meant to like this by design?

It shows fine for me in portrait (see screenshot)

The landscape layout is just because of long product titles, which make the product below sit a little lower. It’s not really a bug, but suppose it could be improved. We will look into it

    Hi

    1) That’s odd, please could you provide me with a link and login so I can try and solve this for you?

    2) I’m afraid that’s not possible without changing a bunch of code, and possibly messing up the layout

Ok the issue is that the left and right gutters are only displayed when using the standard shop layout, however not on the gallery layout even when gutters are set to yes. I will forward this to the developer to look into

    While you are at it:

If you select “Full width product display” = YES, the sort dropdown would benefit from using the same width. Now it is aligned with the NO setting. It looks good if you select NO, though ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. As you can see from the attached screenshots: If you set Full width product = NO, the sidebar takes disproportionately much space. If the products were more important than the sidebar, I guess I would not use full width view. So how can I shrink the sidebar? It would of course look very nice if the images were larger and the sidebar was the same size as the sort selector.

    2. Would it be possible to have category selector in the left hand corner? Aligned with the left side of products, and top of sort selector.

Images attached in the next post.
