    Hey,

I am having an issue with integrating an official WooCommerce extension into Cardinal – its the bookings extension: http://www.woothemes.com/products/woocommerce-bookings/
Official demo of that extension: http://demo2.woothemes.com/bookings/resorts/

See the attached screenshot. As you can see, for some reason Cardinal uses the text ‘Add to cart’ on the button for bookings products; this is very confusing because clicking on the button does not add the product to your cart, it just takes you to the products page where you select a few options.

In the bottom of my screenshot, you can see how the button appears in the default 2012 theme (the same way as it does in the WooCommerce official demo site above). i.e. It says ‘Read more’ on the button.

The second issue which is also highlighted in the screenshot, is that the hover button/image is wrong. It should not be a cart button – it should just be a button with ‘Select options’ (like the gravity forms products) or ‘Read more’.

Could you let me know how to resolve this?

Ideally the bookings products button text should read ‘Select options’ like it does for gravity form products – but ‘Read more’ like it does on WordPress default themes would also be fine.

Login details etc in next private post.

    Thanks.

Edit to the above: It also shouldn’t list the price of the Bookings product on the shop pages as that is dependant upon the options you choose.

Basically, it should operate/act the exact same way as the Gravity forms products do on my shop page – so club donation, club membership etc.

    Hi Anthony,

Gonna set this up on my local install this weekend and investigate the issues.

@FlawlessWeb – can you send me over the plugin zip please so that I can set it up locally – will make it much quicker to investigate.

    Thanks,

    – Ed

On my phone so can’t check the css properly but the width is not the issue.. Its the actual hover button that comes up that is the problem. It should not be a cart button. It should be an ‘Options’ or ‘Read more’ button.

I’ve set up a case handler for the button, to pus it into the “not purchasable” category which displays read more.

I can provide this update before release (monday) if you need.

    Hi Anthony,

That code I pasted is the cause of the hover width issue.

    Hi Ed,

Yea could you email me on that build if you get the chance today.

One semi-related question: see this comment on Themeforest:

I assume that means you will have the ability to place the cart (so cart total, number of items in cart and its hover effect etc.) in the top right bar alongside my account, logout etc.?

Is that feature included in this latest build?

    Thanks

    Hi Ed,

That build solves the issue ๐Ÿ™‚

As for my second question above – my mistake, I see what you mean about the separate menu.

What would you recommend as the best way to introduce the cart into certain headers which dont have the cart functionality by default – for example, I use Header 6 quite a bit and that does not have the cart in its header…

    Thanks.

Have got it on the list to add the cart to the menu on header 6 in an update soon ๐Ÿ™‚

Excellent, if you could somehow get it into the next feature update you would be a genius :).
