I have tried this three times and each time it imports duplicate menus and secondly most of the pages do not work. For example everything under modules and even the sliders end up not getting created. I have ensure d that all plugins are installed per suggestions after installing the theme.
Please advice.May 7, 2014 at 8:11 am #72847Adding notification when udpdates occur

Please advice.May 7, 2014 at 11:12 pm #73217Hi @codepantry,
Unfortunately the WordPress import process is not perfect, and any duplicate attempts will likely duplicate the menus that come in the import xml (this is an issue with the importer, not the theme).
The widgets also aren’t included in this xml (they aren’t exported in the WordPress export unfortunately).
The sliders, are imported separately – http://vimeo.com/79557392
Hope that helps.

May 8, 2014 at 12:01 am #73225I am simply following the instructions on the installation manual which are seemingly incomplete given that widgets are not included and the revolution slider is not included.
http://dante.swiftideas.net/documentation/#demo-content-importIf this import process is not perfect with word press then there is no need to post it as it is wasting time. If I new this up front I would not have wasted a day reinistalling new versions and the theme to reattempt the process two times.
May 8, 2014 at 11:02 am #73384Hi, widgets and sliders are never imported with the standard WP demo content xml import, as they require a separate import process.
Sorry to hear that this surprised you,
let us know if we can do anything for you!May 12, 2014 at 6:56 am #73969I tried to import the demo content following the instruction on the video.
The first step of the import goes well up to this point:Import author: Swift Ideas (dante)
or create new user with login name:
or assign posts to an existing user:
Import Attachments
Download and import file attachmentsThen I click on SUBMIT and i get this error:
Internal Server ErrorThe server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.I’m hosting on godaddy.com and when i check the log I get this:

May 12, 2014 at 7:02 am #73970Hi,
Please contact at hosting provider with this log message . They will have sure a quick solution for this error .Thanks
May 12, 2014 at 3:29 pm #74221@aarnulfo Per responses on this string, it is obvious that this demo content has not been properly tested and does not function. However this time out error could be PHP script time out during execution. Take a look at the install manual and ensure that the install settings have been applied in your server. Also may want to adjust the settings:
max_execution_time = 60
max_input_time = 60
memory_limit = 64M@mohammed you are the most unhelpful support staff ever. It’s a joke that you provide such cookie cutter responses without one iota of thought. No one is asking you to go the extra mile but at least try. I hate these type of support situations.
May 12, 2014 at 11:20 pm #74347I did contact the hosting provider and didn’t get any help.
They said that on their side everything is working just fine. They suggested to adjust the settings in the php5.ini file and i set like codepantry suggested (THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO LOOK INTO THIS)This are the value i read with running <?php phpinfo(); ?>
max_execution_time 600
max_input_time 600
memory_limit 128M
upload_max_filesize 200M
NOTE: these are the value suggested in the demo content manual
http://dante.swiftideas.net/documentation/#demo-content-importI also noticed that I don’t even get the message “This page will keep loading, so leave it running.” that i see on the video.
There must be something in the script of the demo file.I also I tried to install the dante_demo-content-alt (the version that doesn’t have the media) and it worked just fine.
I still like to know what the problem is since i purchased this Theme to be able to start working my way from the demo version.
Please let me know what else i can do..

May 15, 2014 at 3:45 pm #75386Hi @aarfnulo/@codepantry,
The WordPress import is a standard function, not something that we’ve developed, and is something that we have tested thoroughly. The only issues that occur are when the server kills the process. In this event, if you get a 500 error or white screen, is to hit back in your browser and then continue the process (until it goes through). It will carry on where the import process was when it was stopped, and you should get all the content.
The message: “This page will keep loading, so leave it running.” is a caption on the video, this doesn’t appear during the import process.
Hope that helps, I’ve assigned this topic to me for future replies.

June 9, 2014 at 8:57 pm #81285Ed, You miss my point. As explained at the beginning of the message thatI created, the issue liew with duplicate entries. That is a function of testing is it not? I have wasted time and tried the import three times but it imports duplicates. That’s all.
June 9, 2014 at 9:51 pm #81288Hi @codepantry,
I didn’t miss it, that was detailed in my first reply? The duplicate entries is something that the WordPress importer does not check previously exists, like it does with posts, pages etc. There is only 1 menu with a set of menu items in the demo content, and importing multiple times will unfortunately result in multiple menu instances being created – this is out of our control, it is not something that is a result of a lack of testing from our side.
I would suggest resetting the install before importing the content again, however that would be more time consuming than simply removing the extra items.
